RIDGEFIELD – Police said wanted fugitive Derral “Kenny” Mosby was shot and killed by authorities in a standoff in Northwest Ridgefield, Wash. Friday.
Just after 3 p.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the SWAT team pinned down Mosby in a home near 19300 NE 29th Avenue.
Sheriff's deputies near the scene reported hearing possible gunfire around 4:30 p.m. as authorities surrounded the home. Life Flight confirmed it was called to pick up a patient near the scene but the emergency helicopter service said it was canceled just before 5 p.m.
The 36-year-old was wanted for meth possession, trafficking stolen property and violating a restraining order. Authorities said he often carried a knife and gun and was considered "highly dangerous."
He was later spotted in the Knox Butte area near the Linn County Fairgrounds riding a bicycle. He reportedly was calling family members from the Albany and Salem, Ore. areas.
