TAMPA, Fla. — Fresh off the Republican convention, Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan's campaign staff has scheduled a fundraising event in Portland.

The candidate will speak at the Governor Hotel, at 614 SW 11th Avenue, around on Monday, September 10.

Tickets to the event are $1,000 each, plus $2,500 for a photo with the candidate or $10,000 for a seat on the Technology innovator Roundtable.

There will also be a private dinner with Ryan which people can pay $25,000 to attend.

The event was getting publicized on the Clark County Republican Party website. Anyone wanting to RSVP can do so through Romney’s donation link online.

Romney officially started his fall campaign for the White House last Thursday night with a speech to the Republican National convention and a prime-time TV audience.

He proclaimed that America needs "jobs, lots of jobs" and promised to create 12 million of them when he is elected.

The hall erupted in cheers when he reached the stage and began to speak.

"I accept your nomination for president," he said, to a roar of approval.

The initial event description on the Clark County Republican Party website seemed to indicate that Presidential candidate Mitt Romney would also be attending the Portland event, but officials later told KGW that was incorrect.
