BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A Beaverton man is looking for a prototype quadricycle that was stolen right out of his yard.
"It just really upsets me," said Randy Thomas.
Sometime between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday, somebody swiped the prototype. Thomas spent more than $1,000 building it.
"I had planned on selling other copies of it," Thomas said.
Those plans are now on hold as he tries to figure out who took it. He said somebody then tried to steal an adult tricycle of his on Monday morning, but abandoned it at the end of the driveway when they realized it had a lock on it.
Thomas is convinced the same person is involved in both cases and lives in his Beaverton neighborhood.
"This thing will stick out like a sore thumb," said Thomas. "It's one of a kind."
