PORTLAND -- A Washington County tree farmer saw his multi-million dollar family fortune unravel after being bilked by a psychic who used his money to pay for ritzy vacations and a fleet of luxury cars, according to federal court documents.
Four defendants, Rachel Lee, Blancey Lee, Porsha Lee and Samantha Lee, are facing a federal indictment in the case.
According to the criminal complaint, the 66-year old victim lived alone on his family tree farm in Gaston. In 2004, the victim met Rachel Lee, who owns several psychic shops throughout Oregon.
Over the next 10 years, federal prosecutors say the defendants tricked the victim into trusting them so they could obtain his money and property.
Court documents show between 2011 and 2012 one of the defendants, posing as the victim's alleged wife, negotiated the sale of part of his family tree farm for a total of $12.3 million.
Federal prosecutors say defendants Rachel Blancey Lee used the victim's money "on frequent trips to California and Las Vegas, including gambling, high-end clothing purchases, entertainment, and accommodations at luxury hotel resorts including the Bellagio, the Venetian, and The Wynn."
As part of the conspiracy, prosecutors claim defendants Rachel and Blancey Lee also used the victim's money to purchase a 2012 white California convertible Ferrari with custom license plate reading "MRBIG1" and a 2012 Bentley with custom license plate "MRBIG".
The victim did not wish to comment on this case and asked that his name be withheld.
The defendants were not available for comment.
