SALEM, Ore. -- Pro gun activists held what they called a 'Patriot rally' at the Oregon state capitol in Salem Friday.
Several hundred people gathered across the street from the capitol to promote gun safety, and to oppose restrictions on firearms.
Some protesters said they may even go into the capitol building with their guns, which they’re allowed to do if they have a concealed weapons permit.
Many of the people at the rally were carrying weapons with them - handguns and rifles - in plain view. They were also carrying signs with slogans stating their opposition to more regulations on firearms or ammunition.
