PORTLAND -- Portland's first baby of 2014 was born nine minutes after midnight, according to officials at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Naythyn Lee Villegas weighted in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and is 20 inches long.
There were some complications in the 12-hour delivery, but mom Emilie Stochosky and baby are doing well.
Little Naythyn's half-brother Jaydyn Vaughn, who is 5, already got to spend time at the hospital, along with dad, Dwayne Villegas-Baxter.
Emilie said she already has dreams and hopes for her new baby.
"That he goes to school, gets a good job. That he's as successful as he can be, doing whatever he loves," she said.
