PORTLAND – A Portland woman will spend the next ten years in prison for the deadly stabbing of her boyfriend one year ago.

Patricia Rene Phillips, 45, reached a plea deal with prosecutors and was convicted of first degree manslaughter.  She admitted stabbing David Johnson, 59, and then dropping him off at a hospital afterwards.

Johnson was able to walk into Legacy Emanuel Medical Center but he died there some time later.

Phillips claimed that Johnson had attacked her several times during their relationship, but prosecutors said there was no evidence to prove that.
