Pedestrians robbed in 2 separate incidents Sun.

PORTLAND -- Police are searching for four men involved in two separate armed robberies within about an hour of each other on Portland’s east side Sunday afternoon.

Police were first called at 1:40 p.m. to Southeast Milwaukie Avenue and Franklin Street, where a woman said she was robbed at gunpoint while using an ATM, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

She told police she threw money at the man and he chased her for a short time before running away. The suspect was described as white, in his 40s, with blonde hair and wearing a mask.

Just after 2:40 p.m. police were called to a robbery at Northeast 125th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.

The victim told police three men had approached him. He said one man punched him and another pointed a gun at him while demanding money.

The suspects were described as African-American men with blue or black bandannas covering their faces.
