PORTLAND -- Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing from the women's locker room in a downtown Portland building, and they've asked for the public's help identifying him.

Investigators believe the man stole a purse and two bike bags on April 15 from lockers in the Fox Tower at 805 SW Broadway, said Portland police Officer Kevin Allen.

A surveillance photo was released Tuesday morning. In it, the man appears to be carrying the stolen items.

Some of the stolen property was recovered a few days later in the Standard Plaza Building several blocks away.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 40s, with a medium build and brown hair. He was wearing glasses, a track suit and running shoes.

Anyone with information was asked to leave a tip with CrimeStoppers here or call 503-823-HELP.
