PORTLAND – A runaway pony was reunited with its owners in Portland on Thursday.

Police were called to the report of a Shetland pony wandering near SE 144th Avenue and SE Yamhill Street Thursday morning.

Responding officers found the pony and tied it to a light pole until its owners could take it home.

Last weekend, a miniature donkey was found wandering the streets of Bend. Its owners had not come forward as of Thursday afternoon.

Bend police named the donkey "Shrek."
