PORTLAND -- All of Portland's public schools will have police officers on campus and increased security during the remainder of the school year, due to Tuesday's deadly shooting at Reynolds High.
The Portland Police Bureau's Youth Services Division, as well as all officers from all three precincts, will be providing the added security.
This will include schools in the Portland School District, David Douglas School District, Parkrose School District and Reynolds School District.
"There is no specific information or concerns about violence but after [Tuesday's] tragedy at Reynolds High School, the Portland Police Bureau is going to provide an extra layer of protection and presence for students and teachers," said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
He added that anyone who sees anything suspicious should immediately call 9-1-1.
