BEAVERTON – A Beaverton woman who reported an attempted kidnapping and sexual assault early Friday morning was arrested after admitting she made up the story.
Police said Monday 32-year-old Dora Lina Tovar had been found to be playing video poker at the time of the alleged crime. She admitted she made up the story to prevent her boyfriend from finding out she was gambling.
Tovar told police Friday a man with a knife got into her car and told her to drive, then physically assaulted her and said he was going to rape her, Beaverton police said.
She faced charges for filing a false report.
