COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – A Beaverton woman has been missing for more than two weeks and police searched her ex-boyfriend’s home in Cottage Grove for clues Wednesday.
Tammy Borda, 55, went to visit family in Lane County for Thanksgiving and hasn't been seen since Dec. 2. She had planned to return to Beaverton on Dec. 4, but never came home.
Police searched Borda's ex-boyfriend’s home in the 1400 block of West Birch Avenue in Cottage Grove Wednesday. Borda was spotted with her ex-boyfriend during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Markie Borda told KGW she always spoke to her mother three to four times a day. Now she's very worried after so many days have passed without even a single phone call.
"It is so out of character for her. It is not something she has ever done. It was not something she would ever do," she said.
Markie said her mother moved to Beaverton to be closer to her grandkids and they all lived together in the same home.
"My mom is the most caring person you probably will ever meet. She would do anything for anybody," she said.
Borda walked with a severe limp, is diabetic and has heart problems, according to her family. Markie said her mother does not have her special medication with her.
Police said Borda's cell phone is turned off and the message box is full. They have not released any further details about the investigation.
Anyone who has seen Borda or knows where she is is asked to call Cottage Grove police at 541-942-9145.
