NEWBERG, Ore. – A suspect who police said drunkenly attacked his Newberg roommates with a machete early Saturday morning turned himeslf in.

Around 2:45 a.m., 25-year-old Noah Norton’s roommates called police saying he was threatening them with the machete, said Capt. Jeff Kosmicki with the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.

Police showed up at the apartment at 1110 South Pennington Drive and learned Norton had fled the scene. Paramedics took one victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his hand, Kosmicki said.

Norton reportedly threatened another roommate as well during the incident. He was wanted on assault, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon charges.
