SALEM – Police are looking for a man with medical issues who went missing from an adult foster care facility in Salem Tuesday.

Around 1 p.m., 63-year-old Michael Van DeVeer left the home in the 1700 block of Plateau Street Northeast on an errand and never returned, said Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police.

Van DeVeer has medical issues and did not take his medication with him, Birr said.

He was described as a white man, 6-foot-2, 170 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a black jacket, black and green pants and white shoes.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 503-588-6123.
