PORTLAND -- A 49-year-old man was shot to death in Northeast Portland Thursday night.
Police were dispatched about 6:45 p.m. to the report of a shooting in the 5800 block of Northeast 6th Avenue and found a man with gunshot wounds. Police said 49-year-old Bernard Linton Yarborough was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The suspects, two African American men in their mid to late 20s, reportedly drove away in a black Acura sedan.
Detectives said Yarborough was not likely a gang member, but the suspects may be.
