PORT ANGELES, Wash. -- Police say a Port Angeles man is in jail after hospital surveillance video showed him attacking his non-diabetic uncle with insulin.

The Peninsula Daily News reports that the uncle, 57-year-old Richard Haynes, was a patient at Olympic Medical Center June 15 when he suffered an extremely low blood sugar level and started losing consciousness.

Port Angeles police say they found surveillance video of the last person to have visited Haynes, and identified him as his nephew, 38-year-old Robbie Wayne Davis. Davis was arrested Thursday and remains in the Clallam County jail.

It wasn't immediately clear if had a lawyer. Police said they are asking the county prosecutor to charge him with attempted murder.

Investigators also discovered one other incident from March in which Haynes suffered from low blood sugar following an insulin injection. No one has been charged.
