SALEM – Officers in Salem tracked down 28-year-old Roxanna Marie Long and said she fabricated a story convincing relatives she was being held against her will.
Long was last seen in downtown Salem on Friday afternoon. She called relatives around 8 p.m. on Saturday and told them she was being held in a building, before her line was disconnected, police said.
It turns out that she reportedly lied on the phone to relatives and was really staying with a friend in the area, police said. Long was charged with initiating a false report and disorderly conduct.
She also had an outstanding warrant out of Yreka, Calif. on charges of hit-and-run.
