PORTLAND -- Firefighters pulled the occupants from a crushed vehicle using the 'Jaws of Life' after a rollover crash destroyed a car in east Portland's Centennial Neighborhood Sunday.
Crews responded to the crash near the Southeast 145th Street and Powell Boulevard at approximately 2:00 a.m. Sunday, firefighters said.
They found a car pinned against, and almost completely crushed by, a tree. Crews used a Hurst tool, also known as the 'Jaws of Life,' to extract the occupants, said the Portland Fire Bureau.
One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance for further evaluation, according to firefighters.
No other information was available.
