WALDPORT, Ore. – A paraglider was injured Monday morning after he crashed near Waldport, Ore.
The paraglider launched from a cliff above Alsea Bay on the Oregon coast when a strong gust of wind hit him, according to witnesses. The wind bounced the man off the cliff and into a tree before he plummeted 100 feet onto the beach.
Officials said the paraglider was seriously hurt but alert when paramedics arrived.
The paraglider was taken to a nearby hospital. His name was not yet released.
