PORTLAND – A man who was arrested last week for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at Portland State University was arrested again Thursday for returning to campus, a violation of his terms of release.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, 29-year-old Akrem Elrajoubi was arrested after he allegedly tried to pull a woman into a bathroom and tried to touch her chest in a building on the PSU campus.
Campus public safety officers spoke with the victim following the assault. They arrested Elrajoubi and charged him with felony sex abuse.
Elrajoubi bonded out of jail, was given an ankle monitor and placed under closed street supervision.
Data from his ankle monitor show he returned to campus, which was a violation of his release.
Elrajoubi was arrested again Thursday on attempted sex abuse charges. His bail was set at $50,000.
