PORTLAND – Oregon State Police are looking for a driver and car involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a young child last Saturday in Southeast Portland.
OSP said 41-year-old Robert Simmons Jr., of Oregon City, was pulling out of a Goodwill store at SE 82nd Avenue and Causey just after 1 p.m. last Saturday. His BMW hit another car and police said he then fled the scene.
A woman driving the other car was not hurt, but her 5-year-old daughter who was in a child safety seat had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
An Oregon license plate, CA30537, was left behind at the scene and investigators said Simmons’ vehicle should have extensive front-end damage.
