HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. -- An Oregon man and his mother will receive a Community Life Saver Award from Clackamas Fire District 1 for their actions in saving a man's life.
The fire district says 19-year-old Gabe Shallouf and his mother, Dana Pascoe, were driving in the Portland suburb of Milwaukie last month when they noticed an elderly man down in his front yard.
The two quickly pulled over and discovered the man was not breathing and had no pulse.
The mother called 9-1-1 while her son started CPR.
Their quick action helped save the man's life.
