ALOHA, Ore. – A 15-year-old boy stole an SUV and took police on a chase around Washington County, ramming into two patrol cars before crashing Sunday morning.
Just before 7 a.m., deputies responded to the report of reckless driving at the Heritage Village Mobile Park in Aloha, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found a stolen Dodge Durango being driven by the 15-year-old. They tried to stop the SUV, but the boy sped away.
Deputies then pursued the vehicle through Aloha onto Highway 26 and then into Hillsboro, police said. During the chase, the teen rammed a patrol car.
The teen crashed at the intersection of Southwest Imlay and Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway, when the SUV drove off the road and rolled.
The Durango came to rest upright on the Tualatin Valley Highway, but as deputies drove closer, the suspect accelerated and rammed another patrol car.
The 15-year-old boy was transported to the hospital with non life–threatening injuries.
After he was released, the boy was charged with multiple counts including reckless driving, identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card and taken to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility.
