PORTLAND -- A car crashed into a Northeast Portland house after a hit-and-run collision Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said a Jeep Cherokee ran a stop sign and crashed into another car near Northeast 65th Avenue and Fremont Street.
The car spun out and the Jeep crashed into a nearby house. No one was hurt.
One of the drivers reportedly ran away from the scene on foot. The unidentified 44-year-old driver was found hiding in a tree a few blocks away, police said. He was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and taken into custody.
