PORTLAND -- The man facing trial for the New Year's Day 2011 shooting death of a downtown Portland bouncer has entered a no contest plea.
Kevin Moffett, 33, changed his plea Tuesday morning in Multnomah County Circuit Court. Judge Eric Bergstrom then found him guilty of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm.
Police reports said Moffett got into an argument about 1:30 a.m. at Club 915. Shots rang out and bouncer Ruben Mata was hit, then later died.
