PORTLAND -- Police have released new suspect information after a Portland man was seriously injured in a New Year's Day hit-and-run.

Conor McMahon, 20, and a friend were walking down North Lombard Street after a New Year's Eve party when a passing driver offered them a ride at about 3:30 a.m., said Portland police Detective Todd Prosser.

After they refused, the man drove down the road about a block, stopped for a while, and then intentionally ran over McMahon, Prosser said.

The driver was described as a 35- to 40-year-old man with dark, short hair, buzzed on the sides, and a slight mustache and goatee, said Portland police Detective Todd Prosser.

The vehicle was described as a dark Dodge Caravan or similar model that appeared to have a fare meter on the dashboard.

Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
