THE DALLES, Ore. -- Police are now offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps lead to an arrest in the murder of a man in The Dalles late last month.

investigators also recently started circulating a sketch (pictured) of a possible person of interest and descriptions of a suspect vehicle in the case.

Scott Erlenbush, 46, of Dallesport, Wash. was found murdered in the 100 block of West 1st Avenue around 10 p.m., according to Chief Jay Waterbury of The Dalles Police Department.

"The victim was last seen at the 76 gas station located near Holstein’s in The Dalles," the police department statement read. "He was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by an unknown person. The vehicle the victim was in while at the gas station was described as a darker gold colored full size sedan (similar to the one pictured)."

Police believe Erlenbush (pictured at right) was picked up in Dallesport and taken to The Dalles in the vehicle. It was driven by a white man in his 20s, with dark blonde or light brown hair, a scruffy face and a lower lip piercing.

Witnesses told police the driver seemed agitated while they were parked at the gas station and seemed to be in a hurry.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case and tipsters can remain anonymous.
