PORTLAND -- Neighbors along Northeast 83rd Avenue and Klickitat Street were furious after learning an "after hours" club was operating on their street and seemed to be attracting violence.
Police said the club was the backdrop to two gang shootings over the weekend.
Some of the bullets went through neighbor Mary Henry's fence.
"The neighborhood has come together," said Henry. "We're trying everything we can to close them down."
Sgt. Pete Simpson said Portland Police were in the process of asking the property owner to issue an eviction notice.
"When [after hours clubs] pop up in a city, they're synonymous with shootings, gang crime and prostitution because they're completely unregulated," said Simpson.
