SHERIDAN, Ore. -- The Oregon State Police says a motorist died at the scene of a crash on Highway 18B near Sheridan.

According to Sgt. Brad Hessel, 23-year-old Candace Diaz  was driving a Ford Explorer early Saturday and overcorrected after failing to properly negotiate a left curve.

The vehicle rolled after veering across the highway and into a ditch, partially ejecting the driver.

Nobody else was in the vehicle.

The highway was closed for about 3 hours during the investigation.
