VANCOUVER -- A motorcyclist was killed in a 3-vehicle crash along Padden Parkway in Clark County Monday afternoon, police said.

Investigators said a car driven by Tanya Leffler, 34, of Amboy, rear-ended the motorcycle, causing it to smash into the pickup truck stopped in front of it.  James Luden, 54, of Vancouver, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

Leffler was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said. The driver of the truck, Robert Kenck, 58, of Vancouver, was not injured.

Padden Parkway was closed in both directions from 94th Avenue to SR 503 for several hours during the investigation.  Detours were set up along 76th Street and SR 500.

Investigators said everyone stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
