PORTLAND -- A motorcycle and an SUV collided in Southeast Portland early Friday morning.
Just before 5:30 a.m. on Southeast Division Street and 112th Avenue, a white SUV was turning into a gas station and hit an oncoming motorcyclist riding a Harley Davidson.
The motorcycle was wedged underneath the front of the car and witnesses say the biker was not moving, but was moaning when paramedics arrived. They transported him with serious injuries.
The female driver of the SUV, very shaken up, stayed on scene and cooperated with police. Police did not say who was at fault.
The eastbound lanes of Division Street were shut down at 112th Avenue for about two hours as investigators processed and cleared the scene.
There was no word on the condition of the motorcyclist.
