FAIRVIEW, Ore. – The mother of a 29 year old man who disappeared after a car crash in late February is holding out hope her only son is still alive.
Kyle Peterson walked away after crashing his car along Southeast Stark Street. He was last seen heading toward a steep ledge along the Sandy River.
Searchers looked near and in the river, but Peterson was never found.
“It’s very hard because not knowing… I still think he’s alive and most people probably think he’s in the river somewhere. But no matter where he is, I want to find him and bring him home,” said Lynn Bauer.
Bauer is asking boaters to check the Columbia River shoreline for any sign of her son.
The search will happen starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday May 3rd, based out of Chinook Landing Marina.
The family has also created a Find Kyle Peterson Facebook page with more information.
