PORTLAND – Hundreds of friends and family members honored Paul Lee, the Portland student killed at Seattle Pacific University, during a memorial Sunday afternoon in Beaverton.

Lee, a freshman at SPU, was killed in a shooting at the school June 5.

"If there's one thing Paul has taught me," brother Albert Lee told those gathered, "it is to live unconditionally, that no matter what struggles you may be going through, love can comfort all."

Lee attended Westview High School in Beaverton. His friends, family and teachers mourned the loss of the young man, who they said was “always happy” and “a ray of light.”

"He really just had that contagious personality where whenever he laughed or smiled, everybody else was smiling or laughing around him," said friend Daniel Bae.

"He was just a really good guy and it's unfortunate that this happened. But it just, it makes our community come together and it makes us a lot stronger," said friend Dahbin An.

The memorial was at Village Baptist Church in Beaverton and included a dance tribute to Lee.
