PORTLAND – A Portland woman missing since last Friday has been found dead in her car.

Elizabeth Hoppes, 47, was last seen by family members at 10 a.m., in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood in North Portland.

The vehicle was later found parked in the Clackamas Town Center parking garage, with Hoppes inside, according to her husband who spoke to KGW Monday. He said that investigators told him it appeared that she died of natural causes, but an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

A toxicology report was also expected pending test results.

Hoppes suffered from serious medical issues that made her disappearance especially concerning last Friday morning, when the family first alerted police.

The family had told police that Hoppes did not arrive at work Friday, which was very unusual for her, according to Lt. King with the Portland Police Bureau.
