McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- A McMinnville home with seven people inside was hit by at least 10 bullets early Monday morning, police said.

Police were called just after midnight to the report of shots fired at a home in the 1600 block of Southwest Shirley Ann Drive.

"They could've done some serious harm," said homeowner Wanda Santoia.

Some of the bullets went through the interior walls of the home and into a room where two children and an adult were sleeping, according to Capt. Dennis Marks of the McMinnville Police Department.

"There were no injuries sustained from the incident but several items were damaged by the rounds that penetrated the residence," Marks said.

"Whoever it was could've killed one of these little kids for no reason," added Bobby Santoia.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call Detective Bill Christensen at 503-435-3495.
