MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – A third person has been arrested in the case of a McMinnville restaurant worker who said two armed robbers assaulted her while they were stealing cash at closing time.
After arresting the two suspects, they told police of a third person involved, said Capt. Dennis Marks.
Detectives last week arrested 24-year-old Saul Jorge Ayala and his brother, 20-year-old Jose Primitibo Ayala.
Saul was an employee of Ruby Tuesday, but had not been working the night of the robbery, police said. Also seized were items taken in the robbery, police said.
The third suspect, Jesus Sacarius Bautista, of Portland, was arrested by U.S. Marshals. He was accused of robbery, attempted kidnapping and unlawful use of a weapon, among other charges.
McMinnville police said two men armed with guns went into the Ruby Tuesday on NE Hwy 99 just before midnight.
The closing employee suffered minor injuries. Investigators said the robbers left with cash, in the employee's vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered at a different location.
Both faced robbery, burglary, assault, attempted kidnapping, theft and unlawful use of a vehicle charges.
With the three arrests, police still want anyone with information to call Detective Hugo Cerda at 503-435-5615.
