BEAVERTON – A ski masked robber jumped over the counter at 7-11 and threatened the clerk at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in Beaverton, deputies said.
At around 1 p.m., a clerk at the 7-11 at 7170 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway in Raleigh Hills was going about her usual day when she was robbed. After the masked gunman jumped the counter, the clerk hit and alarm, said Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The alarm spooked the robber, sending him running out of the store. The gunman then jumped into a black 4-door BWM that was waiting outside and took off, Thompson said.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black man, wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt black pants and black shoes. He was carrying a small silver semi-automatic pistol.
Authorities are trying to determine if the robbery is connected to a robbery that happened at 2 a.m. Saturday at a Chevron gas station in North Plains.
