PORTLAND -- March 2012 is the wettest March ever recorded at Portland International Airport, and the rain continues.
As of 8 a.m. Saturday, 7.52 inches of rain had fallen at PDX, tying the record, and rain was expected to continue through Saturday night, according to KGW meteorologist Rod Hill.
By 3 p.m., the total was up to 7.76 inches, he said.

Hill said Saturday would be "pretty wet with rain at times dropping up to .50" across the area."
He said thunderstorms were also a possibility. Sunday was expected to dry out just a bit, but scattered showers were likely.
The previous record of 7.52 inches was set in March, 1957.
Last March was the sixth wettest one on record with 6.43 inches, KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said.
