WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- A commercial truck driver from California has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a deadly November crash on Interstate 5 near Wilsonville.

After a 3-month investigation, 27-year-old Gurpinder Singh, of Red Bluff, Calif., was arrested at his home Wednesday night on a Marion County indictment for second-degree manslaughter.

On Nov. 3, Singh failed to stop for slowing traffic and the truck he was driving went over the top of a car and crashed into the back of another commercial truck, according to Marion County Deputy District Attorney Bryan Orrio.

The car was driven by 26-year-old Dustin Paul Campbell of Lyons, Ore. He was killed in the crash.

Singh was treated at Oregon Health & Science University for injuries he suffered in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Traffic was slowed through the area for four hours as investigators cleared the scene.
