PORTLAND -- A man killed after being hit by a car in Portland Friday was identified Saturday evening.

James A. Ridderbusch, 76, was hit by a car around 7:45 p.m. on SW Macadam Avenue at Pendleton Street.  He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, according to Portland police. 

Investigators said Ridderbusch was crossing against the stoplight. The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies

Northbound lanes of Macadam were closed as the Traffic Division Major Crash Team investigated.

Friday's crash was the third such incident in Portland in just over 24 hours. 

Daniel Roberts, 50, of Portland, was upgrade to good condition Saturday after being hit at SE 111th Avenue and SE Division Street Thursday evening.

Glen Hibbert, 65, was hit and killed by a truck in the parking lot of Wilkins Trucking in North Portland on Thursday afternoon.
