PORTLAND – A man was reportedly stabbed in the face at an Old Town deli Monday night. Police were searching for two suspects Tuesday.

Officers responded to the report of three people fighting at Katina’s Deli at 337 NW 6th Ave. around 7:45 p.m., according to Portland police.

When they arrived, police found a 43-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the face. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening and he refused medical attention.

According to witnesses, the fight resulted in the stabbing. The two suspects allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.

The stabbing suspect was described as an African American man in his 40s wearing glasses, a dark jacket with blue sleeves, a red checkered shirt and his hair in cornrows. A second African American man involved in the fight was believed to be with him.

Anyone with information about the stabbing was asked to contact detectives at 503-823-0400.
