PORTLAND – A man was stabbed in the back in Portland’s Old Town Thursday night, police said.
Officers found 28-year-old Richard Dale shortly after 7 p.m. in Waterfront Park near Northwest 1st Avenue and Northwest Couch Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
Dale was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police found a knife at the scene, Simpson said.
Police said Dale was not very cooperative but they did get a description of the suspect.
Dale described his attacker as a white male in his early 20s wearing gold pants and a blue backpack. He may be about 150 pounds and around 5 foot 5 with a short buzz cut.
The suspect is possibly homeless, Simpson said.
Anyone with information was asked to call police at 503-823-0242.
