JEFFERSON, Ore. (AP) -- An 18-year-old man hit by an Amtrak train in the Willamette Valley community of Jefferson, Ore., has been hospitalized with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Marion County sheriff's Lt. Gerry Adcock says Jesus Bearden of Salem was walking on the tracks, listening to music and didn't hear the southbound train or its horn blasts.
