VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Police have captured a suspect in the June 2011 murder of a Vancouver woman in her home.
Deneace L. McSpadden, 57, died of blunt head trauma in her home at 1006 SE Morgan Road on June 27, police said.
Neighbors told KGW News that they heard several screams coming from the home hours before her body was found inside.

Police later identified Mitchell O'Brien, 33, as the prime suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. He was captured Tuesday in Vancouver and made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
Investigators have not said if they believe this was a stranger-to-stranger attack, nor whether they know of a motive.
