PORTLAND – Two men were taken to the hospital after a DUII crash in Southeast Portland early Sunday, police said.
At 2:41 a.m., 55-year-old Carlos Angulo and 37-year-old Zachary Smith crashed at Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Southeast Clay Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
Both men were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police determined Angulo was under the influence of alcohol and took him to jail after he was released from the hospital, Simpson said.
Smith remains in the hospital with traumatic injuries.
Angulo was booked on assault, DUII, and reckless driving charges.
