LARCH MOUNTAIN, Ore. -- Two hikers were rescued Sunday after they got lost above Multnomah Falls, in the Columbia River Gorge.
The two women called 911 for help around 9 p.m. Holli Steyles and Jennifer Crawford said they had gone on a hike along Larch Mountain Trail but at some point left the marked trail and got lost.
Rescuers zeroed in on an area near Horsetail Falls trail and found the pair in just a couple hours. Then, they guided the pair down the mountain.
No one was injured.
Steyles and Crawford said they had planned to hike to Triple Falls in Oneonta Gorge but they did not have a map.
