PORTLAND -- A local teen, shaken as a baby and nearly killed, got the chance of a lifetime Monday night.

Jeremiah Neubaum, along with his brother and mother, went to the Rose Garden to watch WWE Raw. Jeremiah had his eye on wrestler John Cena.

Some said the fact that Jeremiah was there at all was a miracle.

Back when he was a baby, Jeremiah's babysitter shook him.  He suffered severe brain damage and his  prognosis was grim.

"The paramedics didn't think he'd live to see the hospital," said Dena Neubaum, Jeremiah's mother.  "If he did he wouldn't talk or walk or do anything."

Jeremiah defied the odds and he found himself at the Rose Garden Monday night.

When the wrestling was over, two staffers ushered Jeremiah and his family backstage.  A few minutes later John Cena emerged from behind a curtain.

"This is going on my Facebook wall," said Jeremiah as he posed for a picture with with his hero.

"I got to meet John Cena in person," he added.  "That was awesome."
