BEND, Ore. -- A Bend anesthesiologist convicted of rape has had his medical license formally suspended.

Thomas Bray was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the February 2011 rape of a woman he had met on an online dating site.

The Bulletin newspaper reports the Oregon Medical Board formally suspended Bray's medical license Thursday.

Bray's license will remain suspended until he can demonstrate he is no longer incarcerated. He can then petition the board for reinstatement.
