GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. -- A foot of late-season snow covered Mt. Hood overnight, and several more inches will fall throughout the day, KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said Tuesday morning.

"So far we've seen nearly a foot at Timberline Lodge from this storm and closer to 10 inches for Meadows," Allard said. "Look for another 4 to 7 inches of snow in the mountains today with the snow level around 3,500 feet."
He said warmer air would work its way in late Tuesday night and the snow level would rise to 5,500 feet.
In the Portland metro area, rain will continue all day, with temperatures staying in the lower-50s, he said.
Rain will taper to showers on and off over the next several days. Allard said the next chance at a dry day will be Tuesday.
